Nature and Culture

Explore the canarian Nature

Nature in Fuerteventura is mostly dry and warm.
We get the winds from the North of the Sahara very often and
thanks to the island being so open to the ocean, the water
helps compensate the temperature.

In Fuerteventura every adventurist will find what they are looking for.

From long hikes through the mountains to scuba diving and windsurfing.

Culture & history in Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura offers a variety of museums .
Traditionally we have always found ways to make our own food.
On this island we have fished, made goat cheese and even made our own salt to provide us with food.
We have 3 very interesting museums including the Salt museum Salinas del Carmen where you can learn how we made our own salt.
Museo del Queso Majorero where you can learn the elaboration process of the delicious goat cheese and even have a taste of your own.
Museo de la Pesca Tradicional where you can learn all of our fishing methods throughout the years.
